TOWN OF SMITHTOWN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, State of New York, will meet at the Town of Smithtown Town Hall, Patrick R. Vecchio Building, Victor T. Liss Boardroom, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, New York, on the 11th day of July, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., time then in effect to consider proposed Local Law #4-2017, amending Chapter 112 of the Code of the Town of Smithtown, which will read as follows:

Article II. Building Construction Administration
§112-11 Fees.
A. The following fees prescribed herein shall be paid to the Building Department at time of application. No permits or certificates shall be issued until all applicable fees have been paid.
(1) Residential buildings. Fees shall be as follows:
(h) Rooftop-mounted solar panels: $150; installation of solar energy systems that qualify as a “standard installation” under §112-1.3C: $50.
(2) Commercial buildings. Fees shall be as follows:
(l) Rooftop-mounted solar panels: $10 per panel, not to exceed $1,000.
(3) General permits or fees. Fees shall be as follows:
(c) Installation of ground-mounted solar panels: $150; installation of solar energy systems that qualify as a “standard installation” under §112-1.3C: $50. $250 for up to 20 panels; $250 $2.00 per panel in excess of 20 panels, not to exceed $20,000.
