Smithtown Bulls Senior Center Pool Tournaments

Pool Tournament

Town of Smithtown Senior Bulls Rack Up for Pool Tournaments with Neighbors from Surrounding Towns

Smithtown Seniors kicked off the first round of a series of pool tournaments last week, in a friendly competition with neighbors from surrounding communities. Club leader Lisa McDermott organized the friendly scrimmage, in which residents compete for bragging rights against surrounding towns. Town of Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim stopped by the Senior Center to wish competing teams good luck in the first friendly pool tournament last Friday.

“I didn’t want to leave… I felt like a kid again, hanging out with old friends at the local billiard. Director Doreen Perrino and Club Leader Lisa McDermott really went all out to welcome friends from the surrounding area and made everyone feel at home. I’d recommend anyone who’s recently retired or in need of some fun, friendship or perhaps some healthy competition to check out the number of clubs available through the Smithtown Senior Center.” - Supervisor Ed Wehrheim

The Huntington Sharks played the Home Team Bulls on Friday, March 31st, in a nailbiter of a pool tournament. The clubs played seven games in the first tournament. The first three games resulted in a tie before both teams broke for a lunch together, which Director Doreen Perrino had catered special for the teams. In the second half of the tournament, the Huntington Sharks won the final two games for the victory. The Sharks will rematch the Bulls this Friday, April 14th, 2023. Two weeks later, on Friday, April 28th, the Bulls will play Brentwood.
