Due to the impending storm and COVID-19, the in-person tax payment drive through system will be suspended tomorrow and Friday, resuming on Monday, December 21st, 2020.
During this time, residents may use the US Mail, pay by e-check (75 cents processing fee), or use the secure drop box located at the side entrance of Town Hall which is checked by the Tax Receiver’s Office staff regularly. Additionally, Credit Card payments can be made online via SmithtownNY.gov from the Tax Receiver’s Page or via the COVID-19 button in the Citizen Help Center on the homepage.
Credit card payments can also be made by using the automated telephone system at 1-877-690-3729; Jurisdiction code #4227. In-person drive through payments will resume on December 21st and run through January 11th, 2021.
