Shivering in your boots at the thought of winter heating bills? Come in from the cold to learn how the Long Island Green Homes program can help you improve your home’s energy efficiency.
Upcoming library presentations will provide step-by-step instructions on how to retrofit your home to reduce heating costs with the Long Island Green Homes program. Representatives from the Town of Smithtown Planning Department will outline the program and participating contractors will be present to answer questions. Over 500 Smithtown residents have already received free/reduced-cost home energy assessments, and over 100 residents have taken advantage of rebates and low-interest loans to make upgrades to their homes. Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!
The presentations will be held at a branch of the Smithtown Special Library District the following evenings from 7:00 - 8:00pm.
November 14 - Commack Branch (on Indian Head Road)
November 19 - Kings Park Branch
November 20 - Smithtown Main Branch
November 21 - Nesconset Branch
