The Smithtown Animal Shelter proudly introduces this week’s Pet of the Week, Lizzy a 2-year-old female Domestic Shorthair Tabby cat. Lizzy arrived at our animal shelter in May of 2018. Lizzy is a very affectionate girl; she loves to be pet and cuddle. When you walk into the shelter, she is the first cat to run over and put her paws in the air to play. If her beautiful brown tabby coat doesn’t catch your attention at first, her unique, bright yellow eyes sure will!
Lizzy is a healthy cat. She has been litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on her vaccines. All cats at the shelter are up-to-date on current vaccines and have received full workups (blood work, Feline HIV & Leukemia tested, physical exam ect.) by a board certified Veterinarian. The Smithtown Animal Shelter has a variety of kittens available for adoption or foster in addition to older, wiser and loving cats.
Thinking About Adoption:
The Smithtown Animal & Adoption Center’s primary concern is finding the perfect home for each animal that finds his/her way to us. The Animal Control Officers at the Smithtown Animal & Adoption Center will go out of their way to ensure both the rescued and rescuer are made for one another. If you have other pets, you can arrange to bring your four-legged family member into the shelter or we can set up an at home meet & greet to see how your prospective family member does with other family members, pets or the household itself.
Hours at Smithtown Animal & Adoption Center are currently Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM and Saturday 8AM - 4:00PM. (Sunday’s: by appointment only). To Inquire about the pet of the week or to meet your potential soulmate, please call the Smithtown Animal & Adoption Center at 631-360-7575.
