Smithtown Partners with Local Organizations to Give Back for the Holidays

Care Packages to Our Troops Overseas The Town of Smithtown and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center are collecting items for Care Packages to be donated to our troops deployed worldwide this Holiday Season. Donation receptacles are located in the lobbies of Smithtown Town Hall, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center. Please see the list below of the items most popularly requested by our troops.


Donations are being collected through Friday, December 21st

In addition to collecting items for our troops, The Town of Smithtown will be working together with the Smithtown Children’s Foundation to collect gift cards for popular stores. Residents can drop off gift cards at Town Hall at the Town Clerks office. A Mailbox for Santa is on display behind the clerks booth for safe keeping. Gift cards can be from popular shops or local restaurants and can be for any amount residents are kind enough to give.


Elected Officials have also generously adopted a family for the holidays. The holiday gifts will be presented to the Smithtown Children’s foundation prior to the December 11th Town Board Meeting.
