NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2019 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk for said Town, at the Smithtown Town Hall, Patrick R. Vecchio Building, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, New York where it is available for inspection by any interested person between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., and can be reviewed on the Town of Smithtown's Official Website at www.Smithtownny.gov
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of said Town of Smithtown will meet at the Smithtown Town Hall, Patrick R. Vecchio Building, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, New York at 7:00 P.M., on the 25th day of October, 2018 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled, or for, or against any item or items therein contained.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law that the following are proposed yearly salaries of Town Officers of the Town to wit:
Supervisor…………………………………. $115,000.00
Town Council (4)
Each one to receive………………... $75,000.00
Town Clerk………………………………… $75,000.00
Receiver of Taxes………………………….. $75,000.00
Highway Superintendent....……………….... $130,000.00
AT THE AFOREMENTIONED TIME AND PLACE, a Public Hearing will be held and all interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard.
