On Monday evening July 8th, the Town of Smithtown will sponsor a public workshop to obtain input from the public on its Draft Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Update. The workshop will take place at 6pm at Smithtown Library – Smithtown Building, located at 1 North Country Road. We welcome your input and invite you to attend.
This draft is the culmination of three years of work, including inventory and analysis, review of existing regulations, development of ordinance amendments and regulatory changes, and identification of priority projects.
This public workshop will focus on familiarizing stakeholders with the differences between the existing program and the draft update, and obtaining feedback. Following the workshop, the Town will be scheduling a public hearing for the Town Board to consider whether to approve the draft or request additional modifications.
A copy of the draft update will be available for review on the Planning Department’s page of the Town website (http://www.smithtownny.gov/366/Local-Waterfront-Revitalization-Program) by Monday, July 1. Please contact the Planning Department with any questions at (631) 360-7540 or via email at email@example.com.
*In addition to the workshops, comments can be submitted at any time via mail to the Planning Department, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, New York 11787 or by emailing the Planning Department.
