High School VOLUNTEERS Needed To HELP at Sweetbriar Nature Center
Fall Children's Events

Halloween Children's Events:
Spooktacular and Trails, Tales and Treats

Each Fall Sweetbriar offers a two night event for older children and a one afternoon event for younger children.   Both events NEED High School Student Volunteers!!!

The Spooktacular takes place from 7pm to 10pm, Friday, 10/18 and Saturday evening, 10/19 for families.  High School Student Volunteers are needed from 6 PM - 8 PM helping out on the scarier trail for older children, playing scarecrows in the Ghostly Garden; directing traffic; and or helping to run the Jack O'Lantern Trail.   Volunteers must REGISTER and arrive by 6 PM, unless otherwise instructed.

Trails, Tales and Treats is a daytime event for pre-schoolers and kindergartners on Saturday, 10/26 from 1 PM - 2:30 PM .   High School Student Volunteers are need to help lead children on the trick or treat trail; be scarecrows in the ghostly garden; and help set up and clean up.

Annual Smithtown Food Pantry Drive

Want to contribute to
DO your OWN Food Drive to participate in the Town's Youth Advisory Board annual event?

Below you will find the list of foods most needed at the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry. You can come and shop at Shop & Stop, 291 W Main St, in Smithtown, OR do your your own food drive and bring your group's donation to the Pantry that day. Please sign-in on the Town of Smithtown Volunteer Corps sheet at the pantry when dropping off your donations (indicate that you did a Food Drive).

Pat Westlake, the Pantry Director will be there from 10 AM -2 PM that day to accept the donations and provide Community Service Certificates!!!
