Smithtown Historical Society Heritage Country Fair

FUN Community Partner Volunteer Opportunity:
Smithtown Historical Society Heritage Country Fair

HIGH SCHOOL student volunteers needed for the Smithtown Historical Society Heritage Country Fair September 15, 2018.
Mandatory training on September 11th at 6pm- 7pm for volunteers at the Historical Society in Smithtown.  Pizza and soda will be provided for the volunteers during training.
September 15th Heritage Country Fair -
Volunteer Duties/Jobs for event will include the following:
  • Hay Ride volunteers will help people on and off, and pulling the steps up and down on the hay wagon.
  • Kids Tent volunteers must provide hands on help with crafts and assist the kids, such as painting real pumpkins, face painting, putting on glitter tattoos, and Sand Art.
  • General Grounds help volunteer will walk around and picking up trash, especially in the Food Truck area, and letting us know if/when pails need to be emptied/helping empty the garbage pails.
  • Volunteers will work at water table to sell water bottles there will be a table at each Hay Ride Stop -so 3 tables.
 Available Volunteers Shifts:
  • Morning shifts 9:30am -1:30 pm (4-6 volunteers) will be helping to set up tables, stock the water tables, help vendors get set up etc.
  • Afternoon shift 1:30 -5:30pm(4-6 volunteers) will help clean up, breaking down tables, putting things away etc.
